LONDON (SHARECAST) - Burberry chief executive Rose Marie Bravo has taken advantage of a share price close to an all-time high to cash in options on 300,000 shares she holds in GUS, the parent of the retailer and clothes designer.
Bravo took up the options at 613p and sold them on at 842p netting a profit of just shy of £700,000.
Bravo, an American, has a strong following in the City in the wake of Burberry's excellent performance since it was spun off from GUS two years ago. One of the highest paid businesswoman in the country, she previously sold 252,000 shares in Burberry in January at 363p.
Burberry chairman John Peace, also GUS's chief executive, topped up his stake today with the purchase of 34,000 shares at 393p. It takes his holding in Burberry up to 50,000 shares.
