New club in Manchester area
Looking for: I’m looking at starting my own club and need to recruit some like minded individuals.
Ideally, we would meet once/twice a month in and around the Manchester area (preferably city centre), gradually building up a diversified (with moderate-moderate/high risk exposure) portfolio of equities, bonds and derivatives. I’m currently working for a global firm of chartered accountants and have a decent amount of experience trading equities and bonds via. various internet-based commercial platforms. I’m looking to apply my knowledge and gain experience from others with a common view of wealth maximisation, analysing financial markets and formulating sound trading strategies that will be sustainable over the short-medium term. As a recent MBS graduate, it would be awesome to hear from those studying in and around Manchester – I wasn’t involved with MUTIS during my time at Manchester but hope to establish a club that has the talent to compete with it!

Acorn Investment Club
Acorn Investment club is an established Investment club on the South Coast of England (nr: Worthing)
Started 13 years ago, the club meets once a month to discuss and analyze shares and manage the club’s investment portfolio. Members contribute a monthly investment payment that becomes part of the portfolio. The club is organized as a partnership and follows the investment principles of the an independent non-profit member driven organization.
At present there are 18 companies within our portfolio and the total is approx £30k - the club membership is off the opinion that we have reasonably good portfolio with a sector spread.

Money Spinners Investment Club

Wolferstan Investment Club
Our club has been in operation for 12 years. We are a mix of minds and backgrounds and meet up on the 2nd Sunday of every month. The Cock Inn Investment Club would like to explore the feasibility of investing on non-UK Stock Exchanges. We would be most grateful if representatives of clubs who have already invested outside the UK could contact [email protected] so that you can share your experiences (good and bad) with us. It would be useful to know the costs of investing, the brokers you used, and whether you were able to use self-trade. We would appreciate knowing whether you had problems with currency fluctuations, or whether these fluctuations averaged out over a few months or years. Any information on tax return difficulties or extra unexpected costs would also be useful.

Black Monday Investment Club
We are London based for meetings however we have members living in South East, Midlands and one person in Australia. We are work friends or family and have added numbers over the years. Around 8 of us are active over e-mail and phone. Between 4 and 6 of us meet every 5 or 6 weeks in a pub in the City. Our latest member joined last year, via the Proshare website.
